Clyde Collective Tapestry Weaving Workshop
Join us Thursday, August 31st from 5:30 - 8:30pm at Perch Jewelry Studio for a beginner level tapestry weaving workshop with Mary Beth Chau of Clyde Collective. Clyde Collective is a "mom and pop" shop located in New York City, run by Mary Beth and her husband, Thomas. With a mission to bring people together through creative collaboration, we are excited to partner with Perch Jewelry Studio to bring you this beginner level workshop.
In this workshop you will learn basic weaving techniques such as warping your loom, weaving on, tabby weave, soumak weak, fringe, finishing your weave, and more! The workshop includes all your materials needed to finish your piece, 12" x 13.5" frame loom with legs, tapestry needle, and a beginner's guide! Refreshments will be served at the workshop!
You leave with your beautiful creation, but not the materials to continue to create!
You leave with your beautiful creation AND the materials to continue to create!
We love to gather people to learn new crafts at our workshops led by various artisans. We have had previous ones with Gees Bend quilters, artist Mary Ann Casey, and seamstress Nadene Mairesse. It is always a delightful time creating and enjoying good conversation over coffee and breakfast. To receive emails about our upcoming workshops, sign up for our newsletter below.
